Richard Cheong

Richard Cheong attributes his initial exposure and interest in music to encouragement from his parents – piano lessons at age eight and school bands.  After the usual teenage devotion to Rock, Richard began singing with the church choir.  He has studied privately with Paul Fisher, who was also his first choir director.  He has sung bass with the Jacksonville Symphony Chorus and appeared with them as a supernumerary in a fully staged production of Puccini’s Tosca.  In addition to singing with I Cantori for the last several seasons, he is a staff musician for Skidaway Community Church and sings bass with the Savannah Philharmonic Chorus.
